  • Basic high-frequency words

  • Read simple decodable text

Confident Readers

  • Vowel teams (ai, ee, oa, ou)

  • R-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, or, ur)

  • Diphthongs

  • Two- and three-syllable words

  • Prefixes and suffixes

  • Read grade-level passages with fluency

    Tuesday & Thursday 3:45-4:45 PM

Developing Readers

  • Consonant digraphs (sh, ch, th, wh)

  • Blends (st, bl, tr)

  • Silent e (VCe)

  • Long-vowel patterns

  • More irregular words

  • Read decodable stories with good accuracy

    Tuesday & Thursday 4:50-5:50 PM

Student Placement

To help ensure the best placement, parents are asked to provide their child's most recent school reading assessment. This allows students to begin instruction at the level that best matches their current reading skills.
